The Ladislaus' gate

Ladislaus V.

The gate is a design symbol that is a transition between different levels. It can relate to time as well as to space. It is a connection between different qualities: known and unknown, in profound conception the in-and-out. It separates and connects the ages. It closes you out or invites you in. The Jókai street serves as an entrance to the Europe Place's closed location through the gate named after Ladislaus V., our Komárno-born king, which is located on the Singing Sea street. The gate's design is oriented by the downtown buildings' symmetry, form and shape. It will be suitable for walking and driving as well. By understanding the design concept is a twin gate. We get to the Europe Place's underground garages through one of them, and the other one serves as a clear entrance to the Singing Sea street. There will be the V. Ladislaus's shield and relief placed above the gate.
